Aryna Sabalenka has revealed how Novak Djokovic has helped her make it into the quarterfinals of the tournament.
Djokovic has looked back to his best at Wimbledon, and he plays Alex De Minaur for a place in the quarterfinals.
Sabalenka has been equally impressive, knocking out the likes of Emma Raducanu and Elise Mertens at Wimbledon.
The Belarusian star has revealed how she’s leaned on Novak Djokovic for help during her campaign at SW19.
Sabalenka has revealed several conversations she’s had with the 24-time Grand Slam champion during her run at Wimbledon.
The star has spoken to Djokovic about ‘the mental part of the game’ as she looks to build upon two semi-final appearances at Wimbledon in 2021 and 2023.
However, she also revealed how she’s used Djokovic to work on her return. “Now he’s always making fun of me for copying his return!” said Sabalenka during her Wimbledon press conference.
The two-time Grand Slam champion continued: “I’m like, ‘Man, it’s working. I’m copying the best!’”
Sabalenka plays Laura Siegemund in the quarterfinals of Wimbledon, a player the Belarusian is yet to lose to.
