Simon Cowell has caught the attention of fans with an unusual moment during his appearance on “The Jennifer Hudson Show.”
Member of the jury America’s Got Talent, 65 years old, appeared in Spirit Tunnel of the show, where the show’s staff and celebrity guests celebrate entering the studio.
Despite struggling with the rhythm, Simon clapped his way through the tunnel in a unique style, which was compared by fans to the movements of a praying mantis or a robot, writes The Sun.

His moment went viral on social media, as X (formerly Twitter) users posted various comments pointing out Cowell’s unusual style.
Commenting on the experience, Simon told Jennifer Hudson that he really enjoyed the moment and even expressed his desire to repeat it for “AGT.” He said, “I wanted to do it twice, maybe I’ll do it on the way back.”
This incident also reflects his well-known character as shy and awkward in social situations, which he has also admitted in his previous interviews.
Cowell has said he feels “socially awkward” in unfamiliar situations, but the moment in the tunnel helped him break the ice with other people and help them feel more comfortable around him.
Meanwhile, the charismatic moves of others in the tunnel, like Billy Zane and Penn Badgley, also went viral, but for reasons different from Simon Cowell’s distinctively British energy.
